A Bit About Rachel

Supervised by Ektha Aggarwal, LCSW

As an African American therapist with a background in neuroscience nestled in the vibrant heart of Los Angeles, my mission revolves around nurturing you, guiding you toward profound insights, and fostering a deeper connection with your true self

I firmly believe that every single soul inhabiting this earth has a unique purpose—it's just a matter of

gently unraveling that first string of their narrative.

Society often erects walls and boundaries around us, constraining our potential and clouding our paths. However, my role is to be your guide, to journey with you as we navigate through these societal constructs. Together, we'll work to dismantle these barriers, unveiling the beauty and authenticity that lies beneath, allowing your purpose to shine forth.

Being a woman of color, I've witnessed and lived the incredible resilience that resides within this communities. your stories, rich and diverse, often get overshadowed as you adapt to society's expectations, wearing masks that distance you from our authentic voices. I understand the layers of these experiences and the subsequent challenges of reclaiming your true essence.

In my therapy, I embrace a holistic approach because I firmly believe you are more than mere bodies—you are an intricate amalgamations of mind, body, and soul. Life, with its array of experiences, sometimes leaves you navigating through trauma and survival mode, leading to unconscious negative patterns and self-dialogue. My role is to illuminate the path toward understanding and healing these deep-seated wounds.

Drawing upon my background in neuroscience, I craft a comprehensive approach to support your journey. From Eastern to Western philosophies and delving into the richness of black culture, I offer a tapestry of modalities. I also draw inspiration from depth psychology and transpersonal psychology, aiming to help you explore higher levels of consciousness and self-awareness. I seek to unravel the complexities, nurturing the beautiful story etched within your heart.

Together, we navigate through trauma, creating healthy coping mechanisms, and nurturing interpersonal and intrapersonal skills—essential pillars for a fulfilling life.

Remember, each of you is uniquely special—your individuality defines the beauty within you.

That realization, in itself, is worth cherishing and embracing.

A Message To My Clients

Picture therapy like painting an amazing work of art—it's all about co-creating a unique, one-of-a-kind canvas that embodies your true self. Just like art, there are no mistakes—no judgments here! Remember what Bob Ross used to say? "We don't make mistakes, just happy accidents." These 'accidents' are golden opportunities to dive deeper into understanding yourself, fostering self-awareness through your journey together.

In our sessions, you'll step into a cozy, judgment-free zone, a safe haven where you can let your thoughts and emotions flow freely. My bubbly personality is here to wrap you in comfort, creating an environment that feels just like home, a space where you can be unapologetically and authentically you. So, let's grab our metaphorical paintbrushes and dive into the vibrant hues of self-discovery together!
