A Bit About George

Hello, I am a licensed therapist, and Los Angeles transplant, providing services throughout this beautiful, diverse city. My passion for helping, influenced by my personal experience and professional development, is aimed at supporting others in facing life's challenges through bravely connecting with their authentic selves and communities.

I highly value authenticity - as a tool in my work and as a source of healing for those I work with. I believe strongly in the power of connecting with self-discovered and self-defined values and utilize an eclectic application of various therapies such as Acceptance-Commitment Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Processing Therapy, and other creative approaches tailored to the needs of each individual.

My work is focused in the following areas:

  • Those who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to religious trauma, and are looking to reclaim their power and identity.

  • Those experiencing symptoms we commonly associate with anxiety and depression

  • Men, women, and non-binary individuals interested in a safe, affirming space in order to explore and connect with their identity.

I have had the immense privilege to work with individuals from various cultural backgrounds, striving to provide culturally informed and appropriate support. My work throughout Eastern Baltimore and South Los Angeles have allowed me to learn from individuals experiencing traumas, feelings of isolation, relationship conflict, life transitions, and identity uncertainty.

When I'm not working you can find me reading a good book, walking my dog, or trying my best to get a new bread recipe right. I don't know where many crossroads are but I love exploring LA and experiencing new foods, sights, and people. My biggest passion is learning and experiencing, challenging my perspectives and establishing new ones

A Message To My Clients

As your therapist I will prioritize a whole-person individualized approach focused just as much on utilizing and accessing your innate strengths as addressing your presenting concerns. I am passionate about empowering you to move toward the life you want through helping you clarify and pursue YOUR goals. I recently learned that the word "heal" comes from the Old English Haelan, which instead of meaning cure or fix, astutely means make whole. This is the healing I hope to help others find, not a fix but a feeling of wholeness.

I included my NCC certification in addition to my license. I'm also working on finalizing my social media pages over the next couple of days and will send you those links momentarily.
